Mariza is an MD-PhD student doing her graduate training in the Neuroscience Training Program. She is broadly interested in neurodevelopment and how different factors shape neural circuity. Using a translational design, she hopes to investigate how anxiety and sleep interact and impact the brain in young girls and in non-human primates. In her free time, Mariza loves to play ultimate frisbee, paddle-board, host themed-events, and going on long walks.
