Undergraduate Students Interested to Work with Human Research Participants

The Kalin Lab in the Department of Psychiatry is looking for motivated student research assistants who are interested to gain experience working with human subjects, in particular children with and without anxiety. We are currently collecting data for a large-scale study focused on the links between sleep and anxiety in girls age 8-11 with a range of anxiety symptoms. Brain function will be characterized during the day using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, and at night using electroencephalography (EEG), and examined in relation to clinical, behavioral and hormonal measures (https://kalinlab.psychiatry.wisc.edu/best-study/)

We have a few openings for new student research assistants for the Fall 2024 semester. Possibilities for course credit and paid hours are available.
